Blue Sky

Moving to 6mm and 1'x1,5' table allowed me to do another thing I always wanted: to surround my table with sky panorama.

Of course, idea is not mine, personally I have borrowed it from MC Monkey-Dew and I do not know if this is his original contribution or if he borrowed it from somewhere else.

But the panoramic table looks sooooo good when you make a photo of it. Just as example here is the close-up of French voltigeur in action:

  1. This had never occurred to me and I may just have to try it out. It should work fine with my setup as I play in a drawer. Thanks for posting!

  2. Hi,

Another source (free!) of table edge terrain can be obtained from www.wargamevault.com: do a search for "billy bones workshop"--he is giving away flat scenery for both the American Civil War and the English Civil War. The latter set is especially nice, as it includes walls and an old church. This could easily be scaled down to 6mm and placed around the edge of a battlefield. Adding the trees included in the ACW set would give you a lot of very nice background scenery.

If you run into any problems finding this stuff, let me know and I will send you a copy of what I have.

    Best regards,

    Chris Johnson

  3. Thanks for mentioning the link. I checked it out, but it is not quite what I am looking for. I need panorama image that can cover at least 2 sides of the table at once, not a single flat building or wood.
